Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between custom and modular hand railings?

Modular railings come in pre-built sections—available in Standard or Ornamental styles—and are designed to fit common spaces like porches and straight staircases. They’re significantly more affordable than custom options and require just one visit for installation. Custom railings are fully tailored to your space and style, making them ideal for curved or uniquely shaped stairs, or areas with irregular step sizes. While custom solutions offer more design flexibility, they do require more time and a higher budget.

Will modular railings work for my home?

Most likely, yes! We specialize in metal hand railings that are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. We offer basic standard styles or decorative ornamental designs — or work with us to create a custom metal hand railing tailored to your home that matches seamlessly with your home’s aesthetic.

How quickly can you install my new railings?

For modular railings, we will build and install your railings the Saturday after your order was place. Installations typically last 30 minutes. Our turnaround for custom railing designs vary.

Where do you service?

We’re based in Provo, Utah and primarily serve homeowners throughout Utah County. As our company grows, we’re excited to soon offer our railing installation services in surrounding areas as well. If you’re outside Utah County, let us know—we may be able to help or prioritize your area as we expand.

What is the installation process?

Our installation process depends on your railing choice. For modular railings, simply place your order with step count and style; we'll confirm details and schedule installation within one to two weeks. For custom railings, contact Dallin to arrange a measurement and quote. We'll discuss options, schedule the installation, and then build and install. Please note, custom lead times are currently about four weeks out.
